Plastic Figures

The compositions from this series, are part of a family of objects made entirely out of technical plastic, usually used for various mechanical processing. The objects are made in collaboration with Plastteh, a local company with activity in this field, this way a part of the material being recovered. They are all made in techniques specific to the material, being processed on lathe or industrial mill, this way the material continuing to stay in his „comfort zone”. The outcome from this comfort zone comes through the final forme and destination of the resulted objects, this way trying to get an overcome of the usual expectations, on one side through using a untipycal material for rather basic objects and on the other side by taking the material out of his area of usual usage. The „Plastic figures” series is inspired by elements and modernist architectural principles, also going towards a brutalist zone, first by shape then by technique and the building process.
